I have been watching the progress my husband has been making on his latest building project. He's always wanted a shed out in the back, so he's finally getting down to building one. It's about half-way done and it's really impressive! A couple of his buddies came by last week to see his progress on the frame. They ended up staying for the next 3 hrs to help him with the roof! He said he couldn't have done that part without help. Glad it was them and not me helping....those boards look heavy!
Meanwhile, I am busy each night working on homework for school. I sit at the kitchen table reading, and occasionally I look out the kitchen windows to see how the shed building is coming along.
Last night I spent 3 hours reading one chapter in my textbook. They're full of lots of new terminology (for me) and concepts. Most of the time I can figure out what it's about, but sometimes it's just way over my head! When it starts describing how one system talks to another system, but only with an intermediate something inbetween.....wha???? That stuff I'm just not comprehending!
It's very comfortable being at this stage in our lives. Kids are grown. We're still working & healthy. Extra money is available for our pet projects, etc. Life is good! Sometimes I tell Thomas this is the marriage we should have had the first time around. Instead, he jumped into the middle of me and my kids half-grown! He was so good to take on all that responsibility - he really helped all of us through a very difficult time. I am very thankful that God brought Thomas into our lives.
