Carbohydrates- friend or foe?
I went to a company sponsored workshop downtown yesterday. We learned about business continuity planning in case of a hurricane or other "disaster". As part of the event, we were provided breakfast and lunch, both of which were very tasty! When I'm away from my regular schedule, I find it hard to stay within my new eating limits for my diabetes. Yesterday, I did pretty good. But I couldn't resist the chocolate/carmel covered cheesecake. I'm sure my blood sugar level was way out of line after eating that yummy dessert. I don't know how I will be able to resist similar temptations for the rest of my life. In two weeks, I will be visiting my daughter in Virginia. I'm sure we'll eat out a few times. I don't know how I'll do with limiting myself to 45 carbs per meal from a restaurant menu. I feel like a little kid again. Maybe I need to get a book on this subject to help me figure all this out. I challenge you to try it-it's hard!!

I bet it is hard! We can keep your carb count in mind while you are here. Jason and I are flexible. :) Love you and can't wait to see you on Friday!
